WinEdt 5.6 [Build: 20080429] is an ASCII editor that can create LaTeX documents. This program works under Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. WinEdt can be used as a front end for compilers and typesetting systems, such as TeX or HTML. It allows you to customize highlighting schemes and features multilingual spell checking. You can download word lists from WinEdt.s Community site, at http://www.winedt.org/Dict/. You will be able to open several text files that the program will display in several tabs. WinEdt includes an option to open your email client to send files. The program will allow you to perform the changes you will expect in any text editor, plus some special features, like comparing two different text documents, insert arrays or matrices, AMSTex, LaTex or BibTex items and HTML components. The program includes some AMSTex, LaTex, BiBTex, UTF-8 and GUI samples, to show you its possibilities. It will also allow you to record, save and play macros. You will be able to compile the edited texts, or save them to PDF format.
The program enables spell checking in any System‑G editbox or HTML editor.
